Fairy House Fans – an update on what’s going on with this series.
For all those who have e-mailed from the UK and US to ask me about the rest of the series (ie. the final four books in the UK and the final eight in the US) here’s an update. I’m sorry to say that at the moment Scholastic UK don’t intend to publish the final four here, so you British girls will have to hang on to find out what happens in the end to Katie and our four fairy friends. In the US, at the moment only the first four books are available and only in hardback, so the way to get the other four would be to order from Amazon from the UK. I’m so sorry about this and feel terrible that so many of you are waiting for books, but unfortunately I have no control whatsoever over these decisions.
As you can imagine, I’m very sad about this situation, and it makes me even sadder when I receive your e-mails, desperate to get hold of the final books. At the moment my only option is to write the stories (as of course i know exactly what happens!!) and put them up on this website and I will certainly aim to do this soon. I know it’s not ideal but it’s heartbreaking for me that so many of you have e-mailed asking about the end of the series, so i hope that reading the stories and imagining the pictures will be almost as much fun as having the books!
I’m sorry too not to have replied individually to you all about this, but I hope you can understand that with a new baby to look after I haven’t had as much time as usual. I do read every single e-mail and letter, though, and I’m delighted to hear how much you all enjoy the books. Hopefully things will get moving soon, and of course I’ll post some news on the final books as soon as I have any! xxx
