March Updates - New Book, New Website, Japanese Totally Lucy (15/03/10)

Hey girls!

Oh dear, I have been massively rubbish at writing on here, haven't I? I will hurry up in future!

I hope you are all well and having a fab time at school and home and with your BFFs. I have been SOOOOOOOOOOOO busy doing a big edit on a new book for you all, which is called Half a Sister and is coming out in August. So exciting!

Plus, I'm making my website loads bigger, with heaps of extra fun stuff and blogspots where we can all chat about VITAL BFF issues. It'll take a while to get it all together, but we should be ready to go by early summer - can't wait!

I was also recently in GOBSMACKED FLABBERGASTATION (as Lucy would say!) when I received these fantastic Totally Lucy books - in Japanese! LOVING the cool new artwork! I bet you can work out which book is which in like, five seconds!

LOADS of you have been asking this month about where I get my ideas from. And the answer is... (drum roll please!) I have no idea!!! (Hee hee!) I guess some of the ideas for the Totally Lucy books come from real life things that have happened to me or my friends (usually embarrassing ones!) and also from things I wished HAD happened to us, like putting on our own fashion show, or being backing dancers for a popstar, as Lucy does in Catwalk Crazy and Summer Stars. I love imagining stuff like that and thinking about how fun it would be. It's also fun writing about the friendship dilemmas the girls have - I know from all your e-mails that you find them very true to life and sometimes have similar ones yourselves, and so did I when I was at school!
